MikroTik RouterOS is the independent Linux−based operating system of MikroTik RouterBoard hardware. You can also install it on a PC and turn it into a router with all the necessary features such as routing, firewall, bandwidth management, wireless access point, backhaul link, VPN server, hotspot gateway and more. RouterOS is a stand-alone operating system based on the Linux v2.6 kernel, and the goal of this course here is to provide the guidelines to install and configure MikroTik router properly and easily. This course will provide an overview of RouterOS software and RouterBoard capabilities, as well as hands-on training for MikroTik router installation, configuration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
